We found a bunny nest with 5 baby bunnies in it. we have been watching it for a week. The kids have had so much fun petting them and watching for the moma to come and feed them. Casper found the nest when the babies were only 6 to 7 days old. We kept casper away since then. We have been checking on the babies daily to make sure the mom is taking care of them. they only get fed twice a day for just a few minutes. We watched them open their eyes and now they are trying to get out of the nest. The nest is a shallow divit in the middle of the yard that is covered with grass and bits of mom's fur. It is a good think we found it because we would have mowed the grass and they would no longer be living. We all got to hold the little babies which are only about 3 inches long. The moma is now moving her nest so she can keep track of her roving babies. there is one left that we are watching to make sure the mom comes back for. Till then we have the pictures to remember their little family.
