So Isaac comes in from the backyard and says "Look mom, it's a hamster!" Of course there are no wild hamsters in Ohio, but it didn't look like anything we were familiar with. I looked up Ohio rodents and it turns out to be a vole. Luckily it wasn't a biter, so no rabies shots for Isaac!

Wow- that's crazy. And you guys are so much nicer then I'd be.. I'd be like go put it back in the yard. ew! Unless it's a rodent that comes from the pet shop I want nothing to do with it. Although I remember your baby bunnies- now THOSE were cool! Who knew they had anything like that out here?
Too cute. I love how insistent Isaac is that it's a hamster.
